Profile

Amine is a dynamo and always on the lookout for new challenges. He is primarily sought out for his great intellectual curiosity, his thoroughness, and his ability to manage numerous responsibilities with ease. He uses his swift sense of scrutiny to identify the underlying complexities of the issues brought to him.

After completing his bar internship at Monette Barakett, he became a member of its legal team in 2019. While studying law, he was given the opportunity to work as a paralegal in the community sector and assisted a diverse range of clients on questions relating to labour standards.

Prior to studying law, Amine earned himself a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations then worked in recruitment in the field of human resources which allowed him to develop strong client management and follow-up skills.

His work at Monette Barakett centres primarily around labour law, health law, work attendance management within the field of occupational safety law, and civil litigation. He advises clients in their day-to-day management of labour relations, particularly in terms of employee hiring and termination, workplace harassment, grievance management, and implementing disciplinary and administrative measures. Clients also call on him to assist them in interpreting collective agreements and to work cases involving employment injury claims.

Amine also helps prepare cases by performing jurisprudence and doctrinal research and drafting procedures, legal opinions, and internal policies and regulations. He also pleads before common law tribunals in cases involving medical care ordinances and institutional care.

He contributes to the firm’s various publications, works and training initiatives.
