Those who have met Frédérique know that her zest for life is contagious. As energetic as she is meticulous, she fully invests herself in the challenges presented to her, both professionally and in the sports she plays.

Frédérique became a member of the Monette Barakett team in 2020 after completing her bar internship.

As part of the legal team, she works mainly in labour law and occupational health and safety – work attendance management. She works on employment injury claims and also advises clients on day-to-day management of their labour relations, namely when it comes to the application of administrative and disciplinary measures.

As part of her practice, she drafts procedures, legal opinions and prepares arguments. She also advises employers in the management of files with the CNESST and she pleads before the Administrative Labour Tribunal in occupational health and safety cases.

Frédérique also had the opportunity to work on clients’ premises, on a variety of mandates within their OHS management and presence at work departments.

She also pleads before the civil courts in matters of institutional custody orders and care authorizations.

Very involved, Frédérique sits on various committees, including the Community Support Committee and the Student Recruitment Committee.

Finally, she contributes to the firm’s various publications, training programs and webinars.

In addition to her practice, Frédérique completed a Masters-level program in occupational health and safety.

Frédérique serves on the board of Infologis de l’Est de l’Île de Montréal, a community organization supporting housing rights.

Frédérique became involved in the housing rights within the community sector during her university studies. She also spent a semester at Valencia University in Spain to further her knowledge of Spanish.
