Motivated by an intellectual interest in complex legal issues, Simon is enthusiastically involved in a multitude of files within the firm. He constantly tries to innovate in order to obtain a legal solution with rigor and thoroughness.

Simon joined Monette Barakett’s team as a student in the summer of 2021. He is currently completing his articling at the firm.

Simon completed his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at the Université de Montréal in 2020. During his third year of law school, he also completed the North American Common Law program at the same faculty, obtaining his Juris Doctor (J.D.). As part of his academic experience, Simon completed an internship at the Mile End Legal Clinic. He did research work with Professor Pierre Noreau at the Centre de recherche en droit public and was a teaching assistant to Dean France Houle in the preparation of the Pandemic and the Rule of Law course.

Prior to his legal studies, Simon completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology with honours (B.Sc.) at the Université de Montréal in 2016.

Whenever he can, Simon combines his passion for the practice of law with running to improve his pace over long distances.

Simon is actively involved in youth politics as part of the Quebec Student Parliament simulation at the Quebec National Assembly. This parliamentary simulation has an educational mission and allows participants to deepen their knowledge of Quebec’s parliamentary institutions.
