Sylvie is dynamic and always action oriented. She is a highly skilled organizer. She is quick to put her finger on the issues, and just as quick at finding solutions and putting them into action. She is defined by a highly developed sense of professionalism and assiduity.
Sylvie has been a paralegal since 1989. She joined the firm in 1993 and stayed on until 2013 at which time she decided to branch out and offer her professional services on a freelance basis while maintaining a collaborative relationship with Monette Barakett.
She began her career in business law which provided her with ongoing training that today allows her to adeptly administer corporate law and assist lawyers in carrying out their mandates.
Through her position within the firm, she continues her training and perfects her knowledge of the law of religious institutions, non-profit organizations and charities, which allow her to master their operating regime, in particular the role and the responsibilities of directors and governance structures specific to non-profit organizations.
Sylvie is a member of the Canadian Association of Paralegals (CAP) and the International Paralegal Management Association (IPMA). The CAP, which represents 400 Canadian paralegals, awarded Sylvie their annual award of recognition in 2012 for her contributions to the development of the paralegal profession and the promotion of the CAP.
