Marc-Antoine joined the firm in January 2023 to complete his Bar internship. He has been practicing as a lawyer since July 2023.

During his academic journey, he gained diverse legal experience within the legal department of the Montérégie-Est Integrated Health and Social Services Centre, which allowed him to refine his analytical, research, and synthesis skills, while showcasing his rigor, autonomy, and sense of responsibility. He also worked as a legal agent at Air Transat. To complement his knowledge, he took graduate-level courses in labour law at the Université de Montréal.

At Monette Barakett, Marc-Antoine primarily practices in labour law, civil litigation, and health and social services law.

As part of his labour law practice, he advises clients on their day-to-day management of labour relations, particularly regarding grievance handling, psychological harassment situations, and the imposition of disciplinary or administrative measures. Marc-Antoine has also conducted administrative investigations, issued recommendations to the employer, and met with employees to deliver measures as part of a secondment mandate with a client of the firm. He also acts as a spokesperson in certain collective agreement negotiation mandates.

In civil litigation, he drafts various legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, and legal opinions, and represents clients before courts of general jurisdiction. He manages the files entrusted to him and advises clients throughout the process, both at the preventive and judicial stages.

In the area of health and social services law, Marc-Antoine regularly pleads before the courts in matters of care orders and institutional custody. He may also be called upon to advise health and social services institutions on governance, service delivery, user relations, real estate, and access to information issues.
