Anne-Frédérique joined the firm in January 2022 as part of a COOP internship. She subsequently completed her professional Bar internship there in 2023.
During her academic journey, she participated in a clinical activity with a judge from the Court of Québec, allowing her to refine her research and writing skills. She also worked as a law student in the legal department of the Laval Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSS).
At Monette Barakett, Anne-Frédérique practices in the field of occupational health and safety—work attendance management—as well as in health and social services law, labor law, and civil litigation.
In her occupational health and safety practice, she advises employers on managing their cases with the CNESST, from determining the admissibility of work-related injuries to the allocation of costs, and represents clients before the Administrative Labor Tribunal when disputes arise.
In health and social services law, she is regularly called upon to appear before civil courts in matters relating to care orders and institutional custody.
In labor relations, she handles grievance arbitration and discipline management cases. Her practice has also led her to draft proceedings for superior courts in connection with applications for judicial review and appeals.
