Bénédicte joined the firm as a lawyer in March 2025, after completing her articling at the firm.

Before her legal studies, Bénédicte earned a bachelor’s degree in communications. This academic background allowed her to develop strong writing and interpersonal communication skills, which contribute to the quality of her day-to-day practice.

To deepen her legal knowledge, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business contract practice. Her research focuses particularly on non-compete clauses found in employment contracts.

At Monette Barakett, Bénédicte primarily practices in the field of occupational health and safety—particularly workplace attendance management—as well as in health and social services law, labor law, and civil litigation.

In her occupational health and safety practice, she advises employers on managing their files with the CNESST, from the eligibility of work-related injuries to the allocation of costs.

In health and social services law, she is regularly called upon to appear before civil courts in matters relating to care orders and institutional custody.

In labor relations, she is involved in cases relating to grievance arbitration and discipline management.

During her law studies, Bénédicte was involved in the Femmes et droit committee, as well as in the student newspaper’s correction team. Committed to providing direct access to justice, she also has been a clinician and researcher at the Legal Clinic for NPOs and the Legal Clinic of Greater Montreal, where she was nominated for the Richard Wagner Award.
