StéphanieDufour

Stéphanie joined the Monette-Barakett team in October 2024. She has been a member of the Québec Bar since September 2024, after completing her internship in the legal affairs department at Québecor Inc.

In addition to her law degree, Stéphanie holds a background in criminology from the Université de Montréal, where she completed several undergraduate courses in the field.

During her law studies, Stéphanie had the opportunity to participate in a year-long clinical activity at the Office of Complaints and Service Quality at the CIUSSS de l’Est-de-l’Île-de-Montréal. This experience allowed her to gain significant exposure and knowledge in health law.

At the firm, Stéphanie primarily practices in health law and civil litigation. She regularly appears before civil courts, particularly in matters involving care orders and institutional custody. In May 2025, she had the opportunity to plead a care order case before the Québec Court of Appeal, demonstrating her competence in handling more complex litigation in this area.

She is also involved in labour law, especially in matters related to occupational health and safety, as well as cases concerning access to information.
