LL.B., Université de Montréal, 2017
Dynamic, authentic and passionate about sports, Gabriel rises before any new challenge. Hence, he completed his first triathlon in June 2018. His ability to quickly understand the legal issues brought to him make him an unvaluable team player and an asset to his clients.
Having completed his articling with Monette Barakett, Gabriel started as a lawyer with the firm in 2018. His work is focused primarily on labour relations, civil litigation and occupational health and safety.
Gabriel is called upon to work cases involving occupational injury claims and to advise clients in their day-to-day management of labour relations, specifically for matters relating to implementing disciplinary or administrative measures. In matters of occupational health and safety, he regularly pleads before the Administrative Labour Tribunal. His practice has also brought him before the higher courts in applications for judicial review.
Gabriel drafts procedures, legal opinions, contracts, policies and internal regulations.
He is also called upon to plead before civil courts in matters of treatment and custody orders.
He collaborates on various publications, provides training and is a member of the firm’s articling students recruitment committee.
During his university career, Gabriel was awarded five mentions of excellence and appeared on the Université de Montréal’s dean’s list for his academic achievements. As such he received a number of bursaries including one relating to work on collective labour relations and individual employment contracts.
