Gourmet, wine, music and art lover, Jean-Guy is a true epicurean. Very sympathetic, endowed with great sensitivity and demonstrating an infectious dynamism, he forges close ties with his clients. He thus creates a bond that allows him to work as a team with them in order to find the solutions that best suit their situation.
Before joining our law firm, Mr. Payette practiced law at a firm in Montérégie. He joined Monette Barakett in 2014 and he is a partner.
He helped set up the collective bargaining working group within the firm… in addition to the wine tasting club!
He works in the health and social services sector, a sector he has been involved with since the 1990s. He advises his clients on a daily basis in managing their challenges in terms of labour relations and health and safety. r. Payette is recognized as a skilled negotiator. He has negotiated collective agreements in the healthcare system at national and local levels. He has conducted a number of conferences on management and negotiation in the field of occupational health and safety. He has been teaching at l’École du Barreau for 20 years in addition to teaching at the Université de Montréal.
In 1993, he received the Quebec Hospital Association Prize for an innovative project in the management of absenteeism and occupational health and safety.
